Package: ganeti Version: 2.5.1-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream This is a Debian bug corresponding to upstream issue 169: kvm can't open disk images with ":" as a disk separator, which albeit configurable is our default.
Fixing this bug via the simple method of changing the disk separator means that running instances (e.g. Xen) will not be possible to live-migrate after upgrading the package until they are restarted. As such, we need to add caution notes/NEWS.Debian to detail this. For more information, see https://code.google.com/p/ganeti/issues/detail?id=169 and https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/ganeti/gBGhJFwMHQo. As it is right now, KVM is unusable with Ganeti. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.23-ruru1 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ro_RO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ro_RO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
