Yes, your program will just have to accept the fact that maybe Architecture will be empty, $ dpkg -l \*|grep empty|tr -s ' ' un modutils (no description available) despite #922410. Fortunately I'm sure a single line of code probably is all that needs to be adjusted... Thanks.
