notmuch ships with Python 3 bindings, but the Debian package doesn't
install them. Some third-party tools (that use the notmuch bindings)
work better with Python 3 than with Python 2.x. There may even be some

I haven't really looked at the details of how generate packages for the
python3 bindings, but if somebody want's to do that, we can at least
get the packages into experimental.
*cough* There's a patch in #683515.
