ispell is Architecture: any, but on a multiarch system it doesn't matter which architecture you get as long as you can execute its binaries. It's a build-dependency of 29 packages in unstable (admittedly many of which are Architecture: all and so not very interesting for cross-building, but not all of them). Accordingly, it would be helpful to mark it Multi-Arch: foreign to avoid blocking cross-builds of those packages; that would allow cross-builds to use the version of ispell for the architecture being built on, which is generally best for tools as opposed to libraries. * Mark ispell Multi-Arch: foreign. diff -Nru ispell-3.3.02/debian/control ispell-3.3.02/debian/control --- ispell-3.3.02/debian/control 2011-06-15 07:16:09.000000000 +0100 +++ ispell-3.3.02/debian/control 2012-12-04 09:35:36.000000000 +0000 @@ -23,6 +23,7 @@ Package: ispell Architecture: any +Multi-Arch: foreign Depends: dictionaries-common, ${misc:Depends}, ${shlibs:Depends} Recommends: iamerican | ispell-dictionary, wamerican | wordlist Breaks: iamerican (<= 3.1.20.0-9), Thanks, -- Colin Watson [cjwat...@ubuntu.com] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
