Package: unbound
Version: 1.4.19-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

According to [1] and as confirmed by the current root-servers.net zone,
D.ROOT-SERVERS.NET has changed its IPv4 address. The default debian
installation of unbound uses the built-in hints as defined in
iterator/iter_hints.c, which as of 1.4.19 contains the old IPv4 address
of D.ROOT-SERVERS.NET (128.8.10.90).

Please update the hints to include the new version (the old address is expected
to function for at least six months).

As a side-note, should there perhaps be a system-wide root hints file, updated
via stable-updates? The same file could then be used by the default
installations of all DNS servers (e.g. unbound, bind and pdns). I'm not sure if
the frequency of changes of the root zone justifies this approach though.

Regards,
Apollon
