Package: assword Version: 0.7-1 Severity: wishlist A lot of sites these days also have password recovery questions. Since these are actually just additional (usually weak) passwords, I set them all to randomly-generated password strings as well. I would like to store those strings alongside the password.
Right now, there is no structure to the context, so there's no way to indicate that I have multiple separate "passwords" for the same context with different subcontexts (which in this case would be the recovery question). There also isn't a place to store the username for the site separate from the overall context. I use different usernames with different sites and need to record that somewhere, and for some sites I use a completely random username as a level of additional security. It would be nice to be able to add a bit of hierarchical context so that I can store and retrieve that additional information. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.10-2-686-pae (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages assword depends on: ii python 2.7.5-4 ii python-gpgme 0.2-3 ii python-gtk2 2.24.0-3+b1 ii python-pkg-resources 0.6.49-2 Versions of packages assword recommends: ii python-xdo 0.2-2 ii xclip 0.12+svn84-2 assword suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
