Seems to me like the problem is simply that there is a missing parameter to vpn_connection_import(). It should in effect have about the same signature as vpn_connection_new(). The attached updated patch seems to fix the issue. (Taken from Ubuntu, against n-m-applet 0.9.8.8) Mathieu
