Followup-For: Bug #731556
Hi,
I think that to fix this you should pass
--with-systemdsystemunitdir=/lib/systemd/system to the configure so the
.service file is installed properly. I didn't test this though.

Thank you for the report, this doesn't look nice... I'll investigate
in how to solve this nicely without depending on systemd.
Is the issue also solved if you just delete the packagekit.service file?
