Hello,

I can also confirm the existence of the bug. As soon as video playback starts, the driver segfaults, taking X with it.

Although the bug is acknowledged and a fix is on the way, I have a different kind of request: treat Testing with a bit more respect.

I always thought that Testing is not experimental, nor unstable and, as a matter of fact, not Sta(b)le either! This is a serious bug that should have been caught. Right now, I'm on a testing system with a broken driver, without any real alternatives. I even tried to install 1.13.12 wheezy-backports, but due to dependency problems even that cannot be installed!

My suggestion: bring all the shinny drivers to experimental and unstable whenever/as soon as you see fit. We know that things break there. But for the love of god, keep a functional driver in Testing, even if it means that it is a few months old!

Hope you take my suggestion for not pushing new drivers down to Testing too soon into consideration.

Regards
