Package: linux-image-686-pae Version: 3.2+46 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I recently extended my eeepc 701 to 2GB (brand & new) and started using a SD-based Wheezy (new) installation. I now very consistently encounter the below kernel oops. Running X a couple of minutes is usually enough and if not, then launching iceweasel triggers it for sure. trace: [ 310.539092] BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 42cf6579 [ 310.539308] IP: [<f84fdbbd>] drm_copy_field+0x47/0x47 [drm] [ 310.539488] *pdpt = 0000000036d68001 *pde = 0000000000000000 [ 310.539652] Oops: 0002 [#1] SMP [ 310.539760] Modules linked in: sha256_generic cryptd aes_i586 aes_generic cbc netconsole configfs parport_pc ppdev lp parport uinput loop dm_crypt dm_mod joydev snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_intel snd_hda_codec snd_hwdep snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss snd_pcm snd_page_alloc arc4 ath5k ath snd_seq_midi snd_seq_midi_event snd_rawmidi mac80211 i915 snd_seq snd_seq_device snd_timer snd drm_kms_helper iTCO_wdt iTCO_vendor_support uvcvideo videodev psmouse media evdev serio_raw cfg80211 rng_core drm soundcore eeepc_laptop battery i2c_algo_bit video ac i2c_core power_supply sparse_keymap rfkill processor button ext4 crc16 jbd2 mbcache usb_storage sg sd_mod crc_t10dif ata_generic ata_piix ahci libahci libata scsi_mod thermal thermal_sys uhci_hcd ehci_hcd usbcore usb_common atl2 [last unloaded: scsi_wait_scan] [ 310.542392] [ 310.542442] Pid: 3264, comm: Xorg Not tainted 3.2.0-4-686-pae #1 Debian 3.2.54-2 ASUSTeK Computer INC. 701/701 [ 310.542723] EIP: 0060:[<f84fdbbd>] EFLAGS: 00013286 CPU: 0 [ 310.542808] EIP is at drm_ioctl+0x0/0x33b [drm] [ 310.542808] EAX: f724f800 EBX: f724f800 ECX: 00000000 EDX: 00006458 [ 310.542808] ESI: ffffffea EDI: f84fdbbd EBP: f6c3baf8 ESP: f70d7f30 [ 310.542808] DS: 007b ES: 007b FS: 00d8 GS: 00e0 SS: 0068 [ 310.542808] Process Xorg (pid: 3264, ti=f70d6000 task=f6c420c0 task.ti=f70d6000) [ 310.542808] Stack: [ 310.542808] c10d8d03 00003082 c12c45b6 c1050236 00003082 f6c420c0 f70d7f84 00000000 [ 310.542808] c103bfa4 00000000 00001000 00000000 00010266 f70d7f7c c1053bf0 00007be9 [ 310.542808] ffffffea 00000000 c102a225 c12c361a f724f800 00000000 00006458 0000000a [ 310.542808] Call Trace: [ 310.542808] [<c10d8d03>] ? do_vfs_ioctl+0x459/0x48f [ 310.542808] [<c12c45b6>] ? _raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore+0xb/0xc [ 310.542808] [<c1050236>] ? hrtimer_try_to_cancel+0x66/0x6d [ 310.542808] [<c103bfa4>] ? do_setitimer+0x177/0x19a [ 310.542808] [<c1053bf0>] ? timekeeping_get_ns+0x11/0x55 [ 310.542808] [<c102a225>] ? should_resched+0x5/0x1e [ 310.542808] [<c12c361a>] ? _cond_resched+0x5/0x18 [ 310.542808] [<c10d8d7d>] ? sys_ioctl+0x44/0x67 [ 310.542808] [<c12c8e5f>] ? sysenter_do_call+0x12/0x28 [ 310.542808] [<c12c007b>] ? remove_waiter+0xde/0x11b [ 310.542808] Code: 7f c6 c8 85 ed 89 07 74 1b 85 db 74 17 89 e9 89 f2 89 d8 e8 ec 83 c6 c8 83 f8 01 19 c0 f7 d0 83 e0 f2 eb 02 31 c0 5b 5e 5f 5d c3 <55> 57 56 53 81 ec a0 00 00 00 8b 70 74 89 54 24 10 65 8b 15 14 [ 310.542808] EIP: [<f84fdbbd>] drm_ioctl+0x0/0x33b [drm] SS:ESP 0068:f70d7f30 [ 310.542808] CR2: 0000000042cf6579 [ 310.619156] ---[ end trace f6457104e0ef468a ]--- -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (90, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages linux-image-686-pae depends on: ii linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae 3.2.54-2 linux-image-686-pae recommends no packages. linux-image-686-pae suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
