I have the same error on openswan, exactly.
My system run Debian 7.5. On Debian 6.0.9 the error not occurs.
Installing Debian 7.5 and downgrading opensawn, the error persist.

I’m using openswan with KLIPS IPsec stack (protostack=klips on
/etc/ipsec.conf). Since upgrading openswan and openswan-modules-dkms to
1:2.6.37-3+deb7u1 I get a system crash.
I can start and stop openswan
