Dear Maintainer,

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

     I installed debian-security-support using dselect, from a root
     account (UID=0).  The shell variable TMPDIR was set as follows,
         export TMPDIR='/home/jsroot/temp'

   * What was the outcome of this action?

     Here is the output from dselect,
