Package: digikam Version: 4:4.3.0-1 Severity: important Hello,
Digikam has stopped working today, it did work yesterday, and I did an upgrade of digikam:amd64 (4.1.0-1+b2, 4.3.0-1) in between. So, even if the segmentation fault is in libexiv2, I suspect the issue with digikam. Anyway, feel free to re-assign or ask for more information, here the bug description... Digikam starts first, to the point where the hint dialog shows up, then it crashes. When starting it from the gdb, I get the following output (I don't get more when starting digikam normally): (gdb) run Starting program: /usr/bin/digikam --sync --nocrashhandler [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1". I tried to reproduce the issue using 'exiv2 -f -l /srv/photos/tmp -v -ep' but didn't identify anything suspect. This said there are many images and I can't promise I didn't oversee something. It would be nice if it would be possible to make digikam spit out where it encounters a problem. Let me know what I can do to help solve this issue, I can't currently use digikam at all and manage my pictures.
