To get a head start in packaging this for kfreebsd, it may be possible
to use the pre-built kernel modules from the FreeBSD
virtualbox-ose-additions port in a kFreeBSD VM. The files are available
here:

I remember I looked at this issue a while ago but I forgot about the reason I
stopped my work.
Anyway, I'm looking and fixing the various kbuild ubuntu issues and virtualbox
related.
After that I hope to have time to work on it too. (but without porter machines
it might be difficult)
