Package: gnome-shell-extensions Version: 3.14.2-1 Severity: normal In the alternatives system, it is not possible to choose "Gnome Classic" as the default desktop (x-session-manager). You can choose other desktops when installed, but not "Gnome Classic".
In "man gnome-session" they tell you can change the default desktop in /usr/share/gnome-session/sessions/gnome.session but this is a workarround in my opionion. It's not a real config-file, and if you change it you cannot start the normal Gnome anymore, so you have to replace it. Maybe we can use this bug to find a workarround for this problem. The same problem is with "Gnome on Wayland", but this is part of the package gnome-session. It's no problem to choose "Gnome Fallback", when installed. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gnome-shell-extensions depends on: ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.22.0-1 ii gir1.2-atk-1.0 2.14.0-1 ii gir1.2-clutter-1.0 1.20.0-1 ii gir1.2-gdkpixbuf-2.0 2.31.1-2+b1 ii gir1.2-glib-2.0 1.42.0-2.2 ii gir1.2-gmenu-3.0 3.13.3-5 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.14.5-1 ii gir1.2-gtop-2.0 2.28.5-2+b1 ii gir1.2-mutter-3.0 3.14.2-1 ii gir1.2-pango-1.0 1.36.8-3 ii gnome-session 3.14.0-2 ii gnome-shell 3.14.2-3+b1 ii gvfs 1.22.2-1 Versions of packages gnome-shell-extensions recommends: ii gnome-tweak-tool 3.14.2-2 gnome-shell-extensions suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
