Now that we have kernel 4.0 with overlayfs, support
should be fixed.

Since overlayfs was merged it was renamed overlay,
and now requires an additional workdir option.
The work dir must be an empty directory located
on the same file system as the upper dir. 
It is used for atomic file stuff.
