The calf watch file currently matches pre-releases and rc-candidates. Looks like this is intentional behaviour [1] although you've never packaged and pre/rc-version and the watch file also doesn't handle such version strings. Any objection to revert the change from [1]? I stumbled across this, because the PTS page reports a permanent error with the watch file [2].
