Hi,
there are so many things that could have gone wrong here/we don't know
about the initial bug report, specifically how the disks where "copied"
to the new system.
However, when changing hardware in a situation like this, the initrd
should always be regenerated with would

system with software raid /dev/md* I found that the system would not
