Hi, I am pretty sure (see my last comment) these failures were actually due to pbuilder chroots with broken shared memory.
I have also just retested that it builds fine with a new cowbuilder setup under sid. So I have downgrading this to normal, so it may eventually advance to testing again. Hth!
