Package: webalizer Version: 2.23.05-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
>From the webalizer manpage: o A default configuration file is scanned for. A file named webalizer.conf is searched for in the current directory, and if found, it's configuration data is parsed. If the file is not present in the current directory, the file /etc/webalizer.conf is searched for and, if found, is used instead. This is wrong; the Debian version has apparently been modified to use /etc/webalizer/webalizer.conf instead. ("it's" is also incorrect, by the way.) Similarly: webalizer.conf Default configuration file. Is searched for in the current directory and if not found, in the /etc/ directory. Although this change is mentioned in README.Debian, the way it is written suggests that only the '/etc/cron.daily/webalizer' script deals with the /etc/webalizer subdirectory. In any case, it is a bug for the program not to do what the manpage says it does. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.8 APT prefers oldstable-updates APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages webalizer depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.49 ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u8 ii libdb5.1 5.1.29-5 ii libgd2-xpm 2.0.36~rc1~dfsg-6.1+deb7u1 ii libgeoip1 1.4.8+dfsg-3 ii libpng12-0 1.2.49-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.7.dfsg-13 webalizer recommends no packages.
