Since October, seahorse (which is a dependency of gnome) depends on gnupg2. seahorse refuses to show keys from the gpgv1 keyring; therefore people are being encouraged to use gnupg2. It's annoying to have to keep both keyrings in sync manually. I suggest this bug should have a higher importance
