Yes I tried to find how KDE interacts with audio (probably
phonon-related ?) without success.
When I un VLC with KDE I find additional .so are used:
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libacl.so.1.1.0
/usr/lib/libfam.so.0.0.0
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdbusmenu-qt5.so.2.6.0

output audio device. I've configured VLC to use the "HDA Intel ALC888
Analog Audio Device" but it switches back to "HDA NVidida, HDMI0
