Dear Maintainer, This error comes from PIL, where tostring() has been replaced by tobytes() in Image.
Checking mcomix source, tostring is called twice in image_tools.py. I replaced both with tobytes(), and mcomix seems to work well, and "enhance image" works again. New upstream 1.01 version still have this bug. Regards, Sébastien KALT
