Package: debhelper Version: 9.20151225 Severity: wishlist Hi,
dh_strip implements the new automatic debug packages using the word "ddeb" (e.g. --ddeb-migration, --ddebs, --no-ddebs). However ddeb was only used in earlier implementations, at least the packages are now called foo-dbgsym*.deb, not foo*.ddeb. I'd suggest to use "dbgsym" instead, to avoid any confusion in the long run. I think now is still the right time to change this. Maybe keep the option-names available for compatibility and print a deprecation warning, but simply do a replace in the documentation.
