Hi Ondřej,
That's disappointing. It'd have been nice if this was mentioned in the
changelog or NEWS file so people who maintain legacy PHP projects
which still use the old mysql_*() interface, like I do, know not to
upgrade.

Dear Maintainer,
php5.6-mysql does not provide the depreciated mysql_* interface.
This means that it cannot be installed in place of the old php5-mysql package.
