Package: eatmydata
Version: 105-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The current combination of lintian (2.5.42.1) and eatmydata (105-2) in sid
are problematic. lintian appears to need to know what the original $0 was
while eatmydata resolves the symlink as part of running the child process.

The result is that using sbuild with eatmydata and lintian fails with a
very strange error message:

  Unknown option -i

Further digging gives the sort of invocation that sbuild uses:

$ schroot -d /build/engauge-digitizer-PSQJbM -c
sid-amd64-sbuild-68e49783-b64e-4eda-b1e3-9c4d4b1d39e6 --run-session -- lintian
--version
Lintian v2.5.42.1

$ schroot -d /build/engauge-digitizer-PSQJbM -c
sid-amd64-sbuild-68e49783-b64e-4eda-b1e3-9c4d4b1d39e6 --run-session --
eatmydata lintian --version
Unable to determine the version automatically!?

or more simply inside a chroot:

$ lintian --version
Lintian v2.5.42.1

$ eatmydata lintian --version
Unable to determine the version automatically!?

cheers
Stuart
