Yes, we already thought of that, unfortunately there will be issues, if the timestamp is reset after patching. From dpkg-source(1) for 3.0 (quilt) format: > The timestamp of all patched files is reset to the extraction time of > the source package (this avoids timestamp skews leading to problems > when autogenerated files are patched).
