According to the source code of freshclam this should not happen if LogSyslog and Foreground is set to false like you have. I have clamav-freshclam on a fresh box to double check and confirmed it. (On my server I have freshclam run from cron so I could not check the problem existed otherwise) Is the freshclam.conf you attached to the bug report from the machine that logs twice? Sebastian
