I agree, but would need some support dealing with the Java stuff, as I don't
have any experience how to do that.
TL simple ships the provided jars, which is a
control: reassign src:texlive-base

since bug fixes and new hacks for tex4ht are released exclusively via the
TeXLive repository the tex4ht-common package ist massivly outdated, as it is
built from a source that is marked „obsolete“. This affects widely used
classes as the KOMA script
