Using the current version in Debian testing (0.12.3), I can no longer
reproduce the bug.

With ristretto 0.12.3, I can run it as root. The errors are similar
but it doesn't segfault. Can you reproduce it in the latest version?

Yes, it can't get a connection to dbus to retrieve its config, I think. Not
pretty indeed but it's not really a goo
