sorry, I did not know that I have to build the package from the dsc file myself.
I just built the package and installed it. This time I was able to start Monit
with my config file.
The bug is fixed. Thank you! :-)

It doesn't make sense.
If you can't test new package (why not?) - please explain how I
can reproduce your setup.
