Package: tp-smapi-dkms
Version: 0.41-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I tried loading tp-smapi on my W550s - it doesn't work:

root@lila:~# modprobe tp-smapi
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'tp_smapi': No such device or address

Apparently, tp-smapi doesn't work on Ivy Bridge or newer chipsets, according to
various sources, including ThinkWiki:

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Tp_smapi#Model-specific_status

I suggest that this be documented, along with the suggestion that the user
consider an acpi-call based solution, such as TLP (Debian packages tlp and
acpi-call-dkms).
