Dear Maintainer,
I did clean install of Debian Stretch and found that M-x info doesn't
work well (because of empty dir entries). That's because install-info
was not installed when I installed Emacs25 (so, I manually installed
install-info package). I think that it is due to the dependency
specified for emacs25-common.
Here is the dependency in debian/control of emacs25 source package:
Package: emacs25-common
Depends: emacsen-common (>= 2.0.8), dpkg (>= 1.15.4) | install-info,
${shlibs:Depends}, ${misc:Depends}
Please note that newer dpkg doesn't have install-info any more, as
described:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2013/05/msg00243.html
So, I think that the dependency:
dpkg (>= 1.15.4) | install-info
should be only:
install-info
now.
