Package: tigervncserver Severity: important The default depth 32 is not really suitable for usual operation. There are quite a few clients that bug (crashes with this) out and the protocol get a lot of extra overhead that should not be needed.
Quote from another bug report: "I see - how are the poor users going to work out that they need to try -depth 24, per the warning in man xtigervnc, to get their, eg Java, text rendered properly? " and: "I have tested -depth 32 with some applications and it really is a problem, i.e., VMware workstation bugs out with this setting. I think we should switch the default to -depth 24."
