Package: ibus-table-emoji Version: 1.3.9-2 Severity: wishlist Control: forwarded -1 https://github.com/moebiuscurve/ibus-table-others/issues/15
In modern days, an emoji [1] means a single graphical character which is part of the Unicode standard while an emoticon [2] means a graphical token consisting of an arrangement of multiple Unicode textual characters. This input method is clearly for inputting emoticons instead of emoji. I have reported the bug upstream. Before the author makes any changes with respect to this matter, I suggest changing the package subtitle to something like "ibus-table input method: Emoticons" and explain it in the package description in order to avoid confusion.
