Hi! I'm revisiting this bug and I still don't get the setup, it looks quite weird to me.
br0 connected to eth0.6 (vlan 6) br1 connected to eth0.7 (vlan 7) br2 connected to eth0 It seems logic to me that putting br2 down also takes down eth0, the problem here is that eth0 is also part of the other bridges. What is the reason of using several bridges bound to the same physical interfaces? I believe this isn't even a supported setup, in fact if one tries to bridge the same interface to a couple of bridges this won't be allowed: device eth0 is already a member of a bridge; can't enslave it to bridge br0. So, I believe this bug should be closed unless ther is something useful to do with the weird setup. There is an easy way to fix this bug, it would be to not put down the interfaces when putting down the bridge, but I don't really like this. What do you think?
