Given the package is completely unusable in Stretch, I was intending to ask you to provide a backport, or perhaps a -proposed-updates targeted patch. However, when I looked into the release notes for v1.2 [Let there be hackjob], I'm concerned that would be impossible and I wonder if a removal from stable is more appropriate?
