It no longer occurs now.
I think it was caused by old configuration/cache, from pre-17 version
that I had used years before, and remained around in my home.
However I now have deleted those files, so I don't know how to reproduce.

If I understood you correct you have started with .3, so if you upgrade,
delete again the config directories and try to use it again, still there
the issue?
