Package: fonts-mplus Version: 062-1 My terminal refuses to display the characters 'B', 'D', 'P', 'R', and 'y' in M+ 2m, and uses a fallback font for those characters. Examining the font file with xfd, the affected characters have width 16, while all the other printable ASCII characters have width 8.
