Thanks! Some old script seems to do the same change over and over - someone had copied that piece of config somewhere. Since openssh is also known as 'ssh' to the Debian system, wouldn't it be a good idea to introduce a compatibility link, since scripts couldn't determine the proper config line by

Package: openssh-sftp-server Version: 1:7.4p1-10+deb9u1 Severity: important openssh-sftp-server is installed in /usr/lib/openssh while openssh-server expects it in /usr/lib/ssh. Consequentially, any client using sftp gets an EOF and closes "unexpectedly". Workaround: cd /usr/lib; ln -s openssh
