Package: autoconf-dickey Version: 2.52+20170501-2 Severity: normal In debhelper compat level 11, dh_auto_configure passes --runstatedir=/run to ./configure. Unfortunately, configure scripts generated with autoconf-dickey croak on this, I get the error
configure: error: unrecognized option: --runstatedir=/run in both xterm and tack. A workaround is to run the configure script under compat level 10, e.g. put this into debian/rules: override_dh_auto_configure: DH_COMPAT=10 dh_auto_configure -- … It would certainly be nicer to accept this option, if only to ignore it. I don't think any of Thomas Dickey's projects actually use {,/var}/run. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: amd64 Kernel: Linux 4.14.13-nouveau (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages autoconf-dickey depends on: ii m4 1.4.18-1 ii perl 5.26.1-4 autoconf-dickey recommends no packages. autoconf-dickey suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
