Dear Maintainer,

I also get the "offset negative" error messages. It happens once and a
while and the symptoms are that the keyboard becomes unresponsive for
3-5 seconds. Characters don't get lost but delayed for that time. I am
on a Dell Latitude 7490 laptop and it happens irregardless of if I use
the integrated or a USB keyboard.
