The simulator may be run as a command line application to evaluate quantum programs specified by a Quantum program OBJect (QObj). It is part of QISKit (Quantum Information Software Kit), developed by IBM. The simulator is currently distributed as part of open source QISKit Python SDK. By making it into a Debian package, I will be able to integrate it in other frameworks like QISKit Swift Framework. Also, if we simplify the installation process, it will be a lot easier for other developers/researchers to use it with different purposes.
