Package: dkms Version: 2.3-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Thanks for providing a dkms-autopkgtest script to ease deb-ci! Unfortunately, it seems that this script can only be used in the most trivial cases, where a single binary package (providing the dkms module) is build from a source package. For source packages that build multiple (independent) binary packages, the test seems to always fail. notably, the script tries to build dkms modules out of each binary package listed in d/control. however, this only works for the most trivial dkms packages (where only a single binary package is built) probably the script should take an (optional) list of arguments to specify which binary packages it should test. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.16.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_AT.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_AT.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_AT.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dkms depends on: ii build-essential 12.5 ii coreutils 8.28-1 ii dpkg-dev 1.19.0.5 ii gcc 4:7.3.0-3 ii kmod 25-1 ii make 4.2.1-1 ii patch 2.7.6-2 Versions of packages dkms recommends: ii fakeroot 1.23-1 ii linux-headers-amd64 4.16+94 ii lsb-release 9.20170808 ii sudo 1.8.23-1 Versions of packages dkms suggests: pn menu <none> pn python3-apport <none> -- no debconf information
