Package: lvm2
Version: 2.02.176-4.1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
        - install Window OS on an LV volume
        - create a snapssot of this volume
        - run "partprobe" (it'll expose these partitions to "devmapper" (and
"mount", "partclon.ntfs" etc as well)
        - try to remove the snapshot with:
          $ lvremove <snapshot>

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
       - caliing "kpartx" then twice "lvremove":
         $ kpartx -d /dev/<vg>/<snapshot> && lvremove /dev/<vg>/<snapshot> ||
lvremove /dev/<vg>/<snapshot>

   * What was the outcome of this action?
       - it works but with alarming:

       $ root@comp:/home/user# sudo kpartx -d /dev/wholeraidvg/win2016dc-ss &&
sudo lvremove /dev/wholeraidvg/win2016dc-ss || sudo lvremove
/dev/wholeraidvg/win2016dc-ss
