Please try (for example) 'echo -e "test-header\n\ntest-body"' instead
of just 'echo "test"'; it should work fine.
Explanation: if the mail-terminating "." line appears

I've been successfully using msmtp for a while with a GMX account. I
recently tried using it with a Zoho account, and it does not work: after
transmitting the message and apparently sending ., it just
hangs, and eventually dies:
