Package: docker.io Version: 18.06.1+dfsg1-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
running docker leads to gigabytes of logs written per *minute* with all messages being the same: Jan 7 14:49:15 localhost dockerd[391]: time="2019-01-07T14:49:13.726551740+01:00" level=error msg="failed to get event" error="rpc error: code = Internal desc = connection error: desc = \"transport: error while dialing: dial unix:///var/run/docker/containerd/docker-containerd.sock: timeout\"" module=libcontainerd namespace=moby Writing the same message 1,400 times in as single second into three log files simply makes no sense. In messages.1 alone 5,596,864,516 bytes were written in less then 3 minutes. As these log entries flood my disk it renders the package unusable. Please, provide rate limiting.
