Package: vlc Version: 3.0.7-1 Followup-For: Bug #920931 I experience a similar behaviour: the hotkeys do not work UNLESS I click inside the VLC-window with the left mouse button. I am not sure whether my problem is really related to your bug. Therefore I will open a separate bug report too.
