I was mentioning google-chrome-stable just to make it clear that I was not
upgrading any xfce4 desktop related packages when the crash happened, not
that it had anything to do with the crash.
As for for question at the end about changing display resolution, I don't

did not happen in a minimal VM.
This package google-chrome-stable is from a third-party repository?
Therefore you might be able to have a look at the
output of "coredumpctl list".
There should be a line for the crash with pid
