While I was aware there were tentative plans to remove Python 2 from buster, this mass-bug filing came as a surprise. I'm not subscribed on debian-python and don't remember seeing anything on debian-devel or d-d-a. The first paragraph of the email above seems to be hinting at a d-d-a announcement but I don't believe this has happened. Perhaps that should come soon so that all of us are aware and on the same page? I'll deal with this removal in the meantime :) Thanks, Faidon
